I have similar questions about a Zenith Y832E I'm thinking of recapping. I also am new to most of this and am trying to learn as much as I can. Where do you get the diode to replace the rectifier? Saw an online article where a BY500/800 diode was used with a 470ohm, 25W resistor, does that sound right? Any info would be great!
Thanks!
