Actually, many companies were using pho finnish on doors, including RCA, Zenith, GE, Admiral, and, Philco. Only the most deluxe models of RCA had real mahogany veneer on the doors. That included the projection sets in the deluxe line. They had real mahogany veneer. Also, the model 9T390, which was a deluxe 16" combination set sporting an AM-FM-SW radio, 78 rpm changer, the new 45rpm changer,Push Pull audio output, and, a Oscilator type scratch filter for the records in case your records were scratched.
On the other side of the deluxe models, the model 9T333, which had a 6"X8.5" picture, am-fm radio, and, their cheap bakelite 78 rpm changer in the bottom, had pho finnish on the doors.
I have a 1950 Admiral , deluxe, 16", am-fm radio, and, a 3 spd changer that has pho finnish on the front doors.
