No change to the horizontal is required to display a 525/30i signal on a 441/30i pre-war television as the horizontal hold has more than enough range on these sets to lock in. There may be a slight decrease in the horizontal width due to the increased frequency. The audio does need to be realigned for slope detection as the pre-war sets are AM. I use a converter to generate the original 441/30i and AM audio signal so they work as original.
