Although I'm not much of a telly sports spectator, I'm kinda sorry I missed that game; it featured among other things a legendary 99-yard run for a touchdown (Man! that's hard work for a measly 6 points! At least in basketball they give you an extra point's worth for a long shot....), and the whole game was an edge-of-the-seat event from beginning to end from what I've heard.
Vintage sets are good for watching Donna Reed, Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke (The early Dennis Weaver episodes!), Leave It To Beaver, etc. Sports presentations use the ENTIRE 4:3 screen, meaning some stats on a chart at the bottom of a round screen can be cropped if one is not careful...
