I think its unfortunate that some people buy these sets cheap, and then take the CRT and other parts and dump the remains. It was said earlier that these sets are getting rarer each day. As collectors, I feel the best thing to do would be to take the whole TV and store it. I'm certain that some of these TVs just need a little help, and they could be restored. But to just take any old inexpensive TV that may have some hope of repair and rip parts out of it is just a needless waste. You may want to work on one of these sets later, maybe in a few years. Or you may run into someone else later that wants one of those sets that got torn apart. Granted, there's a lot of junky sets out there, and storage space is also an issue, but I feel its best to save them intact if at all possible, whether one considers them worthless, basket cases, or whatever. They are not making parts for them any more. I try to do that whenever I run into a set like this. Just my opinion.
