CRUD!!!!!!

The CRT is gonde.


i can tell this, because I fired it up on the variac, there is high voltage, and there is a wierd smell throughout the set, not fried component smell, but something else, like a rotten egg smell.


Anyway, I looked at the gun of the tube, the filiments light, BUT there is constant blue/purple arc between the cathodes, and the other electodes, and you can see a constant blue stream down the entire gun in the center.

This is a bad CRT isnt it?

i let it run for a bit, and now the HV is gone.

Because if it is, its going right back out into the trash.

I cant afford another CRT. aint gonna happen.
