Flyback may be good. In fact it probably is good. Many flybacks will drip some wax but it does not necessarily mean it is bad.
I like to look for signs of charing and burning and a burnt smell in the HV cage.
If the crt is good I would restore the chassis and cross my fingers that the flyback is good. If it turns out to be a bad flyback, I am sure someone on Ak will be able to point you in the right direction to obtain a replacement.
