Now *that* is just plain *cool*! That has got to be just about the niftiest looking Japanese TV I've ever seen. What strange styling too! The overall styling looks rather european, but the channel selector is pure "American jukebox". Then there's those cute red lighted indicators above the control knobs.
Also, despite the fact this set almost certainly was only sold in the Japanese home market (in other words, not for export), it seems interesting that all of the control labels and other markings (at least on the front panel) appear to be in English. Almost all of the (very few) Japanese "home market" consumer electronic products that I've encountered are labeled primarily in Japanese (though usually with a heavy sprinkling of English words "transmogrified" phonetically into Japanese katakana characters).
