I've got a Sylvania console that came from a similar place. My landlord owns a block of very old store buildings in the center of town. He bought them for next to nothing from the heirs when the owner passed away. One of the buildings was once the largest hardware store in this area and is packed full of everything imaginable. Well, I got permission to go there and rummage to my heart's delight and I've brought a lot of stuff home as well as the TV. Every time I'm there, I get the feeling of being watched. Nothing malevolent, but as Sandy said, just "under Observation". Next to the hardware store is an old junk shop, also packed to the rafters. I've moved a lot of nice Victorian furniture from there, as well as some old radios and a Reel-to-reel tape recorder. The TV was in the original owner's old office in the hardware store and I've got a funny vibe about it since I first saw it. I still brought it home though, it's out in the shop. It seems like I was led to it somehow, and when I'm in the buildings looking around, I feel like someone's guiding me to all the neat stuff that needs to be saved. This place sat untouched for 13 years till I came along. When I first turned the key in the front door, I felt like I was stepping into a time capsule. I also can feel a bit of sadness in the place as well,but I think I was brought there for the purpose of saving this stuff.
