But speaking of annoying the neighbors...I remember devices that you could buy and there were plans in all DIY electronics magazines (Anyone remember
Radio TV Experimenter magazine) for a small tone modulated transmitter that you could tune to a TV channel (Back when almost all tv was over the air) and as described "interrupt" the picture.
