It did help quite a bit. I now know where to place the resistor in the circuit and I learned a new soldering technique for those hard-to-reach places. I will probably use a solder terminal for the diode and resistor like the pics illustrate, but I still don't know a good value to use for the power resistor. Is the value going to be significantly different for my radio considering it is not a Trans-Oceanic? Any suggestions on a good power resistor for this particular model?
