Tnx for your insight I'm a little afraid to use anything wet around the veneer as it could damage it very easily. Also it may delaminate the plys The top veneer is loose arould the edges but the bottom is very loose and wouldn't take much to remove completely. For now I think I'm just going to clamp it down to the steel and see what happens. Looks like I'm making some progress as it just has a bit of bow in the middle. Don't know what it will do when there are no clamps on it.
Was looking to find the values of the BC resistor listed as #40 on the diagram. Philco pn 5125 It's an early Model 70 with 4-#24a tube and no avc.
