The TV is "UHF Ready", it was a simple field job to remove the center plate and install a Philco converter.

I'd guess the converter was left over from an earlier set. We only had one UHF station (WJMR) from 1953-59, when it moved to VHF. From January 1959 until October 1967 we did not have any UHF stations in New Orleans (to the best of my knowledge.)
