Thanks Jon. The Philco 49-1040 is one of my favs too. The cabinet is huge and mostly empty air inside!
I've been slowly restoring the cabinet and it's a lot cleaner now
The light finish on that Admiral 30A16 is a 'limed' oak. Sort of a whitewash over red oak then yellowish shellac or lacquer.
