I came across by chance in some forum a post on a colour kinescoped Sam Cooke performance on "The Arthur Murray Party" 6th October 1958
http://bsnpubs.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=3605876 , the guy gave the YouTube link, sadly it was taken down due to copyright reasons so I didn't have a chance to see it. Anyhow it's out there and available in bootleg sales according to this page

Makes me wonder what else in terms of 50s colour kinescope and videotape recordings is out there waiting to be discovered.
