I suspect that is true, most collectors seem to really favor the "roundies" and most likely would pay more for the 12" set. I am somewhat of a tube "geek" and look for unusual CRTs as well. A cute set and unusual tube together such as the little Philco shown in this collection strike me as being about as good as it gets:
