Toxic cute set!
Two things that leave me a little suspicious:
1) The seller's claim that he does not know if the radio works, because there are no AM transmitters in his area (Nelson, BC could very well be without a nearby AMer, but come 30 minutes after nightfall, he should be able to hear plenty of signals on it).
2) Emerson's claim that the set can be used in a car or boat. I don't seen anything in Phil's pictures that looks like a power inverter circuit. If you can use it in a car or a boat, provided you can run extension cords to an outlet on dry land, it is kind of beside the point.
