Cool. If you got the one I'm thinking of, it looks to be in really good condition.
I suspect my problem has to do with adjusting the coil accessable via a hole in the back. I've tried fiddling with it and it has some effect, but I'm working in the dark. It will be great to compare notes.
Side note - I also just picked up a SICO TV-50 genometer. Supposedly it can do bars, crosshatch and dots.
