What made me squint and tilt my head at it initially over the authenticity was the floors....They had waxed floors back then -- Polyurethane hadn't been invented yet! I just had my floors in my 1950 house redone so I'm strangely tuned into that. They were waxed up until carpet was installed in the 1960's and kept covered until 2005. Original wax floors have such a different sheen to them, and certainly not a high gloss like in the pictures. You'd forever be buffing the place. But everything else is spot-on. Love that chair.
