As for floors, my mom's house still has paste waxed floors. They require constant care, which we are bad at doing...
Last Xmas, after the turkey dinner and gift giving, we had nothing else to do, so my brother and I broke out the Regina floor waxer and the paste wax. Happens when you have a very small family, and friends are tied up with their families doing their Xmas thing...
