Hi folks,
some weeks ago, I won an Indextron video projector, the Sony Vidimagic FP-62. I got a hint by Jerome Halphen for this auction, otherwise I hadn't recognized what it is, thank you very much. The projector is still working fine, but it is not comparable with the brightness of modern DLP video projectors. With some instructions by John Folsom jr, I could remove the housing of it and did some photos. The Indextron crt is a single-gun color crt without a shadow mask. On the photos of the crt, one can see the photocell at the side of the crt, which is registering the UV indexing signal from the back of the screen of the crt see [SONY_FP-62_06.jpg]. It seems that the crt has a focus coil, see [SONY_FP-62_08.jpg].
