Unhappy

Mine is a sad case. It was brought to me from Kalamazoo Mi. 23 years ago by a friend... This set had been in a house fire.
One side of the cabinet, and, part of the molding on front, along with severely melted channel selector knob was severely charred. Why they even saved the set amazes me. The base of picture tube was off, and, wires broken.
I brought power transformer up on variac, and, it was good, so, while sanding charr off case, and, fe finnishing, which they had also painted white, and, white paint was burned, I decided to re build chassis.
I re capped it, new electrolytics, and, a couple of resistors, and, a good used picture tube.
Set actuially played, had a picture, though very poor contrast.
I put it aside for years.
I now have lost back cover, and, memted knob.
Other knob is good.
I'd like to complete that set, and, finnish it. Geez/ Even the door for hv cage is missing.
What a mess!
