It does bear a resemblance to the Andrea. I couldn't find any pictures of a 1953 model, though. This picture probably doesn't help either, considering that my dad is standing right in front of it! But, I could make out what looks like some sort of grid-like pattern to the control panel... unless, that's just a reflection. It's also notable that the edge of the cabinet is very thin around the picture frame... just barely an inch of wood showing from the front all the way around. Most tv's like this I've seen have leg's at the bottom that are slanted, or curved, or in some way separate from the flow of the cabinet coming down. The legs at the bottom of this one are very flush and simple. I figure once I find a brand that did this, I'll probably be onto something.
