I don't think that was a warranty replacement - Zenith TechTips announced the 4 lead kits with the "modified" tag in late 1977 (It's a Jan 78 TechTips). We replaced a TON of the safety caps in the early 80's and attached the tags.
BTW, the metal cabinet sets were popular with hotels and the military - great for barracks common areas where the sets saw a lot of abuse. Our System III test jig was a CCII (Duramodule) metal cabinet fitted with a Sys III CRT/yoke combo and two tuner clusters - one a DA and the other a MT version. A Zenith service seminar rep showed us how to build one after we saw the one Zenith used in their roadshow.
