Go for it! It looks good and it's better than letting them both just sit unused.
Looks like you were saved a lot of work recapping that chassis. Assuming you can find the problem without too much work.
Was the cabinet double boxed or was it shipped as seen in the first open box photo? If it was just a single box you were really lucky that it arrived intact!
