Thanks for that info CT! Maybe, just maybe, this thing is causing ALL of the issues this set has! I just with that sweep issues was on your list! I can't imagine a video detector diode taking out my vertical sweep. At least I might get rid of the buzz. I heven't even attempted to check the diode; I just know that the pigtail coil is open that I think is in series with the diode.
