I don't automatically shotgun all micas as I do paper caps. Once the electrolytics & paper (or molded paper) caps are all gone, I see how the set works, and replace micas on a case-by-case basis if a symptom points to one.
My T-100 plays like a champ after a standard recapping -- with all of the original micas still in place. Your mileage may vary, of course.
