Add: here is a pix of an electrostatic focus gun... note that the second anode (supported by the white multiform rods) is in two pieces... snubbers connect the forward section to the neck dag, and a strap connects the rear section to the forward section. In the middle is a larger diameter electrode (focus) that is connected back to the base (pin 6). Focus voltage should be about 150V, but sometimes it is just connected to the first anode, or even grounded. I believe this gun is from a DuMont 14SP4. |
