national is the name panasonic/matsushita uses in japan.
that set may have been meant for use in japan.
see if it says 100 vac instead of the typical 120
i have a national branded 7" tube set that runs on 100vac.
i cheated by replacing the 38he7 with a 58hk7 iirc.
