I wonder what happened to the TV that used to be in that cabinet before the RCA was put in there.
My best guess is there was a top-of-the-line Magnavox chassis in it at first, then the set developed problems (or the CRT went bad) and the cabinet was gutted. The RCA set was then installed in place of the old chassis. In any case, the job looks to have been very well done.
