This was our first TV when I was a kid. My dad bought it in 1949. My folks never appreciated it when me and my brothers would unscrew the decorative wood piece attached to the speaker grill. We still used that set for years, even after replacing it with a 21" Admiral in 1953. And yes, it did have the tail knob channel selector. Funny the things you remember. Happy restoring.

My 1948 30A14 has what appear to be it's original knobs and it's tuning knob does not have a tail.
