The double-D versions seem to be more desirable even though the rectangular ones are earlier. Some mistakenly believe the rounded-off masks came first. I was actually
given my 805 by somebody who believed this until I explained the evolution of the mask types in order to expose a greater surface area of the tube. He still preferred the double-D...and he isn't even a Rush fan....
