Totally wrong! Luminance (Y) and the two chromance (Pr & Pb) signals are generated digitally in the component video source DVD, Blu-ray and DirecTv. They are clocked the same, DA'd the same and analog processed the same at full baseband BW of greater than 5mhz. There is no possibility for transition miss-alignment since they all experience the same processing delays.

A properly designed component video monitor will in turn process the three input analogs in identical full 5mhz BW and apply them as RGB to identical full BW CRT driver amps. Since Y, Pr, Pb and resulting RGB are processed the same there is no need for any delay lines, analog or digital to correct differential delay.
