Finally, I'm getting back to this little radio.
I found one thing kinda funny and haven't been able to see this in any of the AA5 schematics. On the 12SQ7 tube (Det ckt) the two diodes in the detection ckt are tied together. ie Pin 4 and 5 are tied together. Pin 4 is going to the transformer (IF) and pin 5 is tied to the AGC ckt as per the drawing, but strapped together at the tube socket.
Anyone ever see this?
