They made a bunch of changes after the first broadcast, but I can only remember a couple. For one, they took out the song "Fame and Fortune" and replaced it with "We're a Couple of Misfits." At the end, when Yukon Cornelius discovers the peppermint mine, he fired off his guns in the first airing; that scene was subsequently removed. There was something about the closing credits and the elf dropping gifts out of the sleigh. I think after the first airing, the elf gave the dolly, etc., umbrellas to float down with. Apparently, kids were frightened because they thought the misfit toys were plummeting to their deaths!
Also, I think after the first year, they spelled Billie Mae Richards name correctly in the credits.
