Somewhere I remember reading that E.H. couldn't or WOULDN'T pony up the money for an RCA license to build TVs, so he bought them from a jobber & re-did 'em a bit & put his name on 'em. Not only that, but they were NOT "RCA" or "Zenith" quality, generally speaking-Kinda bad when EH Scott stuff was marketted as a "Premium" brand. EH certainly got a raw deal by the people in his company, but reading between the lines, he may have had a somewhat "Prickly" personality, & perhaps RCA didn't want to fool w/him & just told him to "P!ss Off"...
