The woodwork is top notch, it's no wonder this was RCA's most expensive offering that year.
Just got back from the hardware store, $2.50 bought me little self adhesive felts to put under the top glass. Not sure if it came with glass from the factory or the owner had it made, my guess is he had it made to protect the set. I got this from the original owner BTW, still sitting in the same room it was installed in back in 1956. Cable was even still attached to it, suppose I should load up the cell phone pics of the place...

Set was down in the basement, doors had to be removed to get it out.
Still connected to the cable coming out of the wall...
Inside the HV cage. I put the variac on it, to make sure it produces HV. Everything seems in order, just very dusty.
