More likely the model number would be on a paper tag that is now long gone. Looking at those caps it seems pretty clear where the burnt electronics smell came from, and at least it's a pretty simple circuit and you can see the values, so it shouldn't be too hard a fix. For that big cap you may have to replace it with multiple smaller ones, unless somebody knows of a source for multi-sections of a similar structure and value. No biggie either way, since it's hidden under the chassis.

You might be able to find some sort of date code on the speaker if you post the number, at least know how old it is. I'd suspect pre-war, but early '40s.
