Pffffffft!
Ya know, there are actually folks that stupid out there.......When I was between 5 and 8 years old I intentionally busted the base and glass seal on a 21" CRT that is in a set that had been (and still is) rotting in the woods for decades because my folks had me psyched out about TVs storing lethal juice years after being plugged in, and I some how got it in my head that that hissing was the HV discharging, and that the HV was somehow stored in that gas that leaked out. I chafe at the thought that I was once that stupid!
