If it makes that kind of picture without any recapping, it should be an easy restoration. Just keep your forklift handy
For such a rare item, I would definitely look into having the cabinet done. There are quick/easy things that can blend minor boo-boos and improve the appearance a lot, if you don't want to invest in a total refinish.
