Thank you for the kind words -- I love this set, and it is the centerpiece of our midcentury living room.
I hope it does define the decade for TVs! Back in 2007, I bought this set in Las Vegas at a midcentury antique store. The proprietor told me that it had been rented/used as a prop in various local TV and movie productions, which is why I got if for a quarter of what she was originally asking.
