I know the feeling and it sort of weird being in a very historic part of the country (Civil War), and you ask someone if they have any old radios or TVs and they show you (or tell you stories about) one of those "wooden cabinet things that sat on the floor" and it's from 1982, OR they have a plastic, solid state, clock radio on display with a "works good" sign on it! LOL! On the flip side though, I guess what is old and interesting is really relative to the age of the current population. I used to think that my father was crazy for yelling at me about all of the "junk" that I was dragging home in the 80s. Most of it was 50s black and white sets and 60s color "roundies."
