You can never have too many 49-1240s. That was my first 1940s Philco and I honestly didn't expect much from it. (Not a lah-de-dah DuMont, and I have worked on some truly miserable Philco radios in the past.) But it has very respectable picture & sound, and after putting a super 12LP4 in mine, I'll have to keep it forever.
If you keep getting more and more 49-1240s, just line 'em up on a wall and hook each one to a different outdoor surveillance camera. Or, build something along these lines
