As for the highest priced sets that have been sold, RCA RR-359s have sold for about $50k. I heard a rumor that a GE Octagon went for $100k years ago. A RCA 120 line prototype sold a few years ago. I don't know the price but I suspect that it was well over $50k.
If a Farnsworth prewar prototype ever surfaced I think it would sell in that range.
