What drove me nuts were price guides. I collect doo-wop
45's and had a sign at the shop looking for them. If they
had seen a guide it was a pain & rarely ended well. They never
read abt condition, 1st press, 2nd press, reissues, boots etc.
Also no idea of retail, wholesale, quantities etc. Finally just
told them 25 cents each if playable sight unseen or make
two piles. One junk the other for offer. Also told them if I
found something valuable I would put them in contact
with a specialist to confirm the record & auction it. Worked
better that way but sadly fresh material has dried up.
