The original speaker should a 10" with a 1250 ohm field and a output transformer for a single 6F6 output. . That is good to know.
Mount the fuse holder under the chassis. A 1.5 to 2 amp SB fuse should OK. I promise, I'll get that squared away

That speaker is a lot more promising than the setup you now have.
BTW, the speaker baffle looks like the original factory issue. It was removed and altered for the speakers installed. Also, the radio appears to be a model 8S463, ca1940.
