Whatever you do, please hold off on any idea of shooting the CRT with a 'juvinater. It's very easy to wreck the tube, specially if you don't have prior experience using one. If the tube
is actually weak (which hasn't yet been proven conclusively), a brightener is the much safer way to go, for a noobster.
