Excello Radio Chassis - late '20s - info?

Last week at the KC Twanfest AK gathering, our gracious host handed me a large heavy radio chassis to 'steward' for awhile. That's what we do with this stuff, isn't it?

Anyway it looks late 20s, labeled as a Superhet by Excello Radio Corp, Cicero IL. I can't find them listed on Nostalgia Air's schematic database.

I was surprised to see a TRF with a tube lineup full of 24, 26 and 27's (along with 80 and PP 45 outputs). This is a typical TRF lineup which you usually see in late 20s radios. However it appears the first superhet came out in 1924 so it was not unheard of. I'm guessing 1927-29 era for this thing.

I haven't done much web searching on Excello but if anyone has any info, do tell.
