well the scope thing wont work because i dont have one. but if the horiz frequency was that far off then it would effect the hold i think and it locks fine.there are other things that i found when i got this set that i dont know why but it could have a bad flyback because something was done to this set that burned the 100k resistor in 2 on the focus coil and it may have heated the core windings in the fly that may have changed values in some way. i did do a comparison ohms on both the flyback and a nos one i have and they were within 15-20 of each other. the fly in there now was a new one from maybe early 80s.
