I'm the one who fixed the radio, just needed a small electrolytic cap to get it working again. But I must say, it's made super cheap. The circuit board in it reminds me of those that were used in those little pocket radios from the 60s. Wires are real thin, and just stuck in a solder blob where they connect to the board. The motorized tuning is quite a unique feature though. It's surprising to me as well, that the clock runs as well.
